Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay hasn’t announced anything yet, but several national media outlets are reporting coach Chuck Pagano and general manager Ryan Grigson will return in 2017.
Irsay had been silent on the issue since the Colts (8-8) failed to make the playoffs for the second consecutive season. Pagano and Grigson were both given four-year extensions after last season.
Pagano spoke on Monday, saying he had no reason to believe he would not be back.
The Sporting News, ESPN and NFL.com, among others, reported today that sources confirmed Pagano and Grigson would return for another season. The pair have been in charge of the Colts on-field and personnel moves since the 2012 season. Pagano has a 49-31 record over five seasons, reaching the AFC Championship Game two years ago. The Colts were 11-5 in each of Pagano's first three seasons, then 8-8 the last two seasons.
