BROOKLYN, N.Y. – After consecutive losses, the Fort Wayne Mad Ants were itching to get off to a fast start Tuesday, and they did. The Mad Ants scored 38 points in the first quarter and went on to a 120-112 win over the Long Island Nets in an afternoon game at the Barclays Center.

The win improved the Mad Ants record to 14-7 and back into a tie with Raptors 905 for first place in the NBA Development League Central Division. Raptors 905 play Greensboro later Tuesday.

Four players scored at least 20 points for Fort Wayne: Alex Poythress 28 (with nine rebounds), Stephan Hicks 25 (with eight rebounds and six assists), Travis Leslie 22 and Trey McKinney-Jones 20. Jordan Loyd added 16 points and Julyan Stone dished out a team-high eight assists.

RJ Hunter led Long Island with 22 points and JJ Moore scored 20. Former Indiana University guard Yogi Ferrell was held to six points and only four field-goal attempts in 32 minutes of play. Long Island dropped to 8-16.
