Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck has completed successful outpatient surgery on his right shoulder, owner Jim Irsay revealed today.
The surgery fixes a problem “that had lingered since 2015. Will be ready for season!” Irsay wrote on Twitter.
Luck missed nine games in 2015 because of shoulder, rib and kidney injuries. While he played in 15 of 16 games in 2016 – missing the Pittsburgh game due to a concussion – he was often listed as “limited” in practice. However, he had one of his best statistical seasons, throwing for 4,240 yards with 31 touchdowns, 13 interceptions and a 96.4 passer rating.
The Colts finished 8-8 for the second consecutive season.
