Long-time Wayne, North Side and Canterbury coach Bill Blosser will be inducted into the Indiana Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches Hall of Fame on Feb. 3 in Indianapolis. There will also be a reception to honor Blosser at the IATCCC Hall of Fame and Museum in Terre Haute on Feb. 4.

Blosser was the Generals' girls track and cross country coach from 1972 to 1986, leading the Generals to the 1979 state title, becoming the first women's team from Fort Wayne to win a state championship. He coached 13 individual state champions and twice led Indiana to the 1985 and 1986 Midwest Meet of Champions title.

Before starting his 37-year coaching career, Blosser was a member of North Side's 1868 cross country state championship. He retired in 2015 after a 41-year teaching career that included stints at Miami Middle School, Wayne, North Side and the Allen County Juvenile Correction Center.
