Where are the anti-abortion people in the DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) fight? Don't those young people deserve protection from death that is sure to happen to some when they leave the U.S. A life is a life.
So now the City of Fort Wayne and City of New Haven have taken over the maintenance of bridges within their cities. Here go our taxes, again. ... What happens to the money we already spend on this? Tax us more.
We can wipe out $2 trillion in debt in 10 years if we stop all deductions for mortgage interest payments and tax employer-paid health-care plans as income. Get it done, Republicans.
Why would I pray for (President) Trump, a.k.a. the Antichrist? I pray to Wall Street so I can be filthy rich like Trump. That's worth praying for.
It's sad that Republicans have taken America, "The land of second chances," and put up the "No vacancy" sign. We are all from immigrant stock (except for Native Americans), whether you admit it or not.
Please take the road blocks off of the Trier-Landon (roads) roundabout. You have inconvenienced drivers long enough. Let us use the road. No one is even working there anymore.
The reason young children are struggling in school is because teachers and parents are "literally" not teaching them proper English, how to hold a pen or pencil and never correct them when they use an upward cadence at the last word of every sentence. If the parents and teachers are dumb, the kids will also be dumb. We need smarter teachers and smarter involved parents.
(Fort Wayne City Councilman Russ) Jehl says,"Nothing good happens after midnight." That quote goes back ... (a long time) along with "an apple a day keeps the doctor away." Get with the times Jehl.
(U.S. Rep. Jim) Banks is not a real Christian. If he was, he would not be in favor or ripping ... (about 800,000 Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) kids away from their families to send them back to uncertain futures. Jeers to Banks.
The moral police, a.k.a. Mr. (Russ) Jehl, are trying to shut down strip clubs under the guise of public safety. You can see more skin on any Saturday at the sandbar on Lake James. It was (the city) who said that off-duty police could not work at strip clubs. They are the reason that there is more police calls — no police presence. ... I don't need Jehl trying to be the moral police.
To the headhunter who chose the rant to anonymously call me a liar. Everything I said in the June 29 letter I wrote to the editor is true, and I can prove every word. You were not present in any of the conversations I had with the people I referenced. You said no 24 year-old asks about taxes. The young adults I spoke of did not need to ask about the taxes here because they were born and raised in Allen County. (They) heard plenty about the taxes here from parents, relatives and, yes, some even read the newspapers.
If Hurricane Harvey is Houston's punishment for electing an openly gay mayor (2010-2016), then we are all in trouble. We elected a president who is a proven liar, and (the Bible's book of) Revelation tell us the same punishment is coming for both sins. The worst is yet to come.
"Warning!" said the local weather lady. "If you can hear my voice, you will have a storm at 7 (p.m.). Spent hours moving tables and chairs to the barn. Got the tractor out and moved the grill to a safe area. What did we get? Guests leaving early because of the impending huge storm. Not a drop of rain, and no severe winds. ... My cows knew better. They never even came in from the pasture. What a joke.
Trying to use socioeconomic factors to explain away black-on-black violence is like trying to explain away rape by saying the woman was dressed provocatively. There is never an excuse for violence or rape.
DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) opponents say they (DACA participants) are taking American jobs. Name one that has affected you — just one where a DACA child took your job.
God is angry. He's pushing Hurricanes at red states. Punishment from above, the Bible says. It is happening now.
Apple Glen Boulevard is a disgrace. The lanes are non-existent, and all the patches do not constitute a road surface.
When is the Fort Wayne Street Department going to get around to re-painting the lane stripes? Oh, it's not an election year.
The existence of God cannot be proven. The burden of proof is not on the non-believer. God's existence is impossible to prove, therefore God doesn't exist.
The (former) president of the (Fort Wayne) City Council must not actually do anything in Fort Wayne after sunset. Many concerts, sporting events and movies end after midnight. Maybe he has already had his warm milk and is in bed at 9 (p.m.).
Great, another long-winded letter from someone in their 80s who does not have a clue. Hit the rocking chair grandpa, you are out of touch with today's world.
“Friends don’t let friends drive junk.” This is a commercial mockery and making a joke of a very important message. It’s a painful insult to those who have lost a loved one to a drunk driver. How can you claim to be “for the people”? How do you stay in business when your commercials are so irritating that we turn them off as soon as they start?
Thank you, silly Republican voters. You gave us another Democrat in the White house. The shift is on as Trump moves more to the left every day. Hooray.
Another mindless writer who thinks that maids, limo drivers, ushers and valets are slaves. These are paid positions taken freely by the worker.
A Trump-Pence campaign ad on TV even before the first Halloween or Christmas commercials. El Donald is shaking in his designer boots.
