The only people who will be insulated from the second war of the states will be the filthy rich. They can afford to hire a small army of mercenaries or leave the country until it's over.
Democrats are the stupid voters. The rotten Obamas and Clintons make (Donald) Trump look like a Boy Scout.
Did the newspaper forget that (Donald) Trump is against trade. That's why I voted for him. That includes oil from Canada. That means we don't need or want the Keystone pipeline.
With the IPFW Faculty Senate approving a resolution expressing no confidence in Chancellor Vicky Carwein's leadership of the university, of course Carwein has Mitch Daniels' and the Purdue trustees’ support. They want badly to end IPFW and re brand it Purdue-Northeast, even at the detriment of the institution.
Gov. (Mike) Pence, Vice-president-Elect Pence proclaimed he is still governor or Indiana "watching" over his state. Perhaps Donald Trump is rubbing off on him. Pence is getting a paycheck from the citizens of Indiana while spending most of his time in New York and New Jersey helping pick the new (Trump) cabinet. Getting all the money he can. Shame on you, you good Christian man.
When voters are fed up with (Donald) Trump in four years and he is voted out of office, how are you going to get him to leave? No dictator leaves freely.
If the Democrats and the unions go away, so does your 40-hour work week, overtime pay, paid vacation, paid sick days, maternity leave, minimum wage, Social Security and Medicare, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation), clean water and air. Everything that you think that you have a right to have. These rights were paid for with blood and a lot of lives when workers fought for unions. But you sissies threw it all away. Who will protect you now?
If Donald Trump decides not to liquidate his assets and put his money in a blind trust, Trump will be breaking with 40 years of political norms set by his predecessors. So I guess he's special.
Republicans worry about dead voters but not about dead candidates. I encourage all Democrats with political aspirations to declare Republican in the next primary. Then in the next election cycle we can run as Republicans and are sure to get elected. That way, other Democrats will actually have a voice in local politics through us.
My brother works in the energy sector. He is out of the country five out of every six months. When he comes home from his dangerous job, there are no TV cameras at the airport. No newspaper stories about him, even though he is working to keep our lights on and our homes warm. My point is that a lot of people leave their families to work, and they do it without any fanfare.
Ever wonder what became of Flounder from "Animal House"? Hoosiers just elected him governor.
You calling protesters thugs and brats shows your stupidity. Were the suffragettes thugs and brats? They gave women the right to vote. Were the civil rights protesters thugs and brats? They gave African Americans some semblance of equality. Were the Vietnam protesters thugs and brats? They got the war to end and saved thousands of American lives. Just because we won't bow down to white supremacy does not make us thugs and brats.
A former local television news personality who has multiple DUI's will be going to drug court! I guess it is a good thing she has not injured or killed anyone while drinking and driving, (sarcasm). Oh, she will just do it again!
Since I am wiser than you, I will explain it: After 1 1/2 years of (Donald) Trump spewing hate and vile talk against half of America, the other half is using his playbook. The Trump side can't take it now that the shoe is on the other foot. You reap what you sow, and Trump sowed a whole bunch of hate. Now it's time to bring in the crops.
The women who voted for Trump don't mind being lied to. The two biggest lies right now are "I will build a wall," and "I will make America great again." Those rank right up there with, "The check is in the mail," and ... .
You railed about the 1 percent, yet you voted the king of the 1 percent into office. (Donald) Trump will never be able to split his duties as president from his business. He is already trying to influence the positioning of a wind farm overseas. If you voters were trying to tear America apart, then you can use the Bush mantra, "Mission accomplished." That didn't turn out so well, did it?
