The Rant is The News-Sentinel’s anonymous sound-off forum. The readers’ views expressed here do not necessarily reflect the views or opinions of The News-Sentinel. (Donald) Trump won't ruin this country, people will by disobeying the 10 Commandments. God's justice will be felt.

I did not vote for Donald Trump. Everyone says I'm a sore loser. I'm not the sore loser. The United States of America is the loser.

I gave money to a charity. Then I got 20 more give-me, give-me, letters. I'm old, but I'm not dumb.

Why in the world do we have to protect Israel — the bully who lives at the end of the block. They made this mess, let them take care of it. They are not our friends.

So I drive by Rockhill Park on Friday, Dec. 23, and I notice the path through the park has been cleared of snow. Compare this to the extreme lack of concern the city administration has for the hundreds of neighborhood streets that ... (were) still ice-covered and dangerous.

Wow! Who lives on Gillmore Drive that rates a plowing and salting by a city truck while the rest of us (on) side streets go "Slippin' and Slidin'"? Better check it out!

Little did I know in 1969 that there would really be a 21st Century Schizoid Man. There is, and his name is Donald J. Trump.

Everyone is upset with the election, etc. Are they upset when there are people in our town who have to "heat or eat"? Or, when "good boys and girls" got nothing for Christmas? Look forward, and get your priorities straight!

The world mourns a dozen deaths in Germany, but turns a blind eye to 100,000 deaths in Syria. Humankind should be ashamed of itself.

Peace on earth and goodwill toward men — unless you're (Donald) Trump, who talks about nukes during the Christmas season.

The biggest thorn in our side is the nation of Israel, a country of 8 million people — barely more than the state of Indiana. Why do we continue to protect them, and why do we tolerate the insolence from their government? We spend billions protecting them from what? Themselves. They are thugs. They need to be treated as such. We don't need them.

To send Christmas presents to the West Coast, I decided to try an alternate to the post office in Columbia City. The first problem was the weight of the package, listed at 3 pounds; second problem was the postage was $33. Seemed too expensive, (so I) took the same package to USPS; it weighed 2.1 pounds and cost $16 to mail.

Every time (Donald) Trump is criticized, he says, "It's politically motivated." What a moron. Of course it is, because he is a politician now. Everything in Washington is politically motivated. This man is the most unprepared person to ever be elected president. It won't be long before he is disparaged by his own political party.

Maybe it's time to return to leaf burning since Fort Wayne is incapable of keeping up!

I hope Congress's New Year's resolution is to go after the Trump Foundation with the zeal that they spent looking into everything Clinton. They won't. They will spend four years sitting on their hands when it comes to any Republican wrongdoing.

Dear Donald (Trump). You ran on the platform of America first. Now you are going to let Israel tell you what to do. I guess that you're not as tough as you act.

A recent rant said Democrats need to accept the results of Mr. Trump as our president. Can we assume they said the same for the last eight years?

The liberals are struggling this Christmas. Great to see the (Donald) Trump-bashing comic strip artist (G.B. Trudeau) in his strip ("Doonesbury") as he notes that Christianity has virtue! Hope springs eternal!

My parents struggled to send all of their children to parochial schools. The did not receive a "voucher" from anyone. On top of that, they paid taxes that supported the public schools. Now I am putting my kids through the parochial system, and I am paying three times for it. Once to the school, once to taxes for public schools and once for my taxes going to vouchers. Enough! The voucher program is a scam on taxpayers.

There are more gun deaths in our nation than drunk-driving fatalities. Legislators want to decrease the blood-alcohol level to decrease alcohol-related deaths, but what about gun-related fatalities? What are Indiana legislators doing to decrease gun-related homicides?

Every time Bill O'Reilly of Fox (News) goes to break, he tries to sell you his books. The man is a shill. He does not believe what he says on air. He is only there because he has a captive audience of old Republicans who don't even know what day it is. If their kids could see how much money they are sending to him, they would put a stop to it.

Indiana Republican voters are the most ignorant voters in the country. You let the legislators violate their own laws, yet you vote them back into office — emails not being public, legislators being lobbyists before it is legal. What ... is wrong with the voters in Indiana? Are you blind to what is going on? It costs you money every time you elect Republicans. No wonder you make $24,000 a year.

I must have missed the memo that once we turn 50, ladies, we need to have a man's haircut. I did not put all of the time into my long hair to cut it short and look like the boys from high school.

Why are there no on-air personalities at Fox (News) of Asian descent? Because "White at Night" Fox knows that their viewers will not watch a minority in prime time.

Finally, the Christmas season is over. Now we can go back to hating each other. That seems to be the American way.
