Gardeners started harvesting produce last month and will continue to do so until the first frost and beyond. How does this show the love of the Lord, Christ Jesus for humanity? When a single seed is planted, it will yield many more seeds. Think of that when you eat corn on the cob.

In the text message of God (Bible) book of Genesis the word seed is mentioned 58 times. This is more times than it is mentioned in any one other book. Why? It seems to me that Jesus wanted to be sure we realize the importance of the word seed, which refers to plants, animals and humanity. If Jesus has shown us this love to give us physical life along with the sacrifice of himself to give us spiritual life, should we love and obey Him? His love is unconditional, meaning that there is nothing you can do to cause him to love you less than he does.

This unconditional love is the type of love that Christians should show to their unsaved neighbor, their homosexual neighbor, their Muslim neighbor, their neighbor who is ethnically different, the old, the infirm, the rich, the poor, the drug-addicted and those of a different political persuasion. Jesus loves them all. So should we.
