What difference does it make? This sentence has a familiar sound to it. If you are talking about eternal life, there is a lot of difference. There has been a book written completely by God. It is his text message, and it is called the Bible. The difference it makes in our lives is eternal life with God or hell without him.
God chose various men over the centuries to write his Bible. God inspired them by his Holy Spirit to write as they yielded their time and lives to him. No other writings known to humanity have had such an influence over the generations of humanity. This cannot be denied by anyone who studies the facts. Let's take a look at what this means to humanity. God promises eternal life to those who trust and obey him.
The portion of God's text message known as the Old Testament contains prophecies that say, “Someone is coming.” The New Testament gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John say, “Someone is here.” The rest of the New Testament, especially the book of Revelation says, “Someone is coming again.” That Someone is the Lord, Christ Jesus. Some of the many prophecies telling of his coming are in the book of Isaiah such as 9:6. “For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
So the evidence is there, all you need to do is read, trust and obey what the text message for God says.
All of humanity has been given the truth by the Lord, Christ Jesus according to the gospel of John 1:1-5: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” (NKJV)
