In an recent article Councilmen John Crawford states his vote on disbanding city unions has saved taxpayers millions, but with Crawford's math.

It will take over eight years for taxpayers to get their money back on the boondoggle Safety Academy, which he was for and knew nothing about. Add in a $200 million new investment downtown, wiped out by $200 million in tax breaks, an airline route which folded, subsides for the hotel and ballpark condos, $40 million for the Ash building, a million for a sky bridge, widen Calhoun, a million, put it back like it was, a million.

Increase the wheel tax, local income tax, build a ballpark with taxpayers' money, pay for the upkeep and utilities, charge no rent and share in none of the profits.

If Crawford was never in politics how much money would we be ahead.

John Bloom
