The biggest jump was in districts receiving B ratings. Nearly 61 percent got that grade, up from 32 percent last year. Twenty-nine percent of districts received C grades.
Locally, all four major Allen County school districts saw their overall state grades go down. Fort Wayne Community schools went from a B grade for the 2014-15 school year to a C grade in 2015-16. Northwest Allen County Schools, Southwest Allen County Schools and East Allen County Schools all had their overall grades drop from an A to a B.
Five districts received D ratings, with the only F going to the Gary Community Schools.
