A house on Brackenridge Street caught fire but was little damaged early Sunday morning.

Neither people nor pets were in the house when the fire was spotted shortly after midnight, Fort Wayne Fire Department firefighters reported. No one was hurt extinguished the flames.

The fire was reported at 12:13 a.m. Sunday. The fire department said the person who called 911 to report it knocked on the door of the house but found that no one was there. Firefighters arrived four minutes later. They found that the fire was mainly on the exterior at the front peak of the roof.

Firefighters checked the interior and attic of the house and verified that the fire was mainly in the home’s exterior. The fire was under control by 12:26 a.m. Fire and water damage was minor, and firefighters report that there was no smoke damage caused by the fire, either.

Investigation into the fire continues.
