Guns, drugs found during raid, Fort Wayne Police report

Fort Wayne Police Department Vice and Narcotics Division detectives and Emergency Services Team members allegedly found drugs and a gun while serving a narcotics search warrant early Friday morning. Several people were arrested. 

Shortly before 7 a.m. Friday police went to the 6900 block of Embers Court. Eight adults and three 17-year-olds were inside the residence, and all of them were arrested at the scene, according to a news release from Sgt. Mark Brooks.

One suspect, Walter Story, ran from the residence but was caught a few blocks away by officers who were monitoring the perimeter, according to Brooks.

During the search, detectives found a firearm, cocaine, MDMA ("molly"), marijuana and drug-related items.

Fort Wayne Neighborhood Code Compliance was contacted. After an inspection the residence was condemned, according to Brooks.

Those arrested are:

 Walter Story:

· Possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon (felony)

· Possession of cocaine or narcotic drug (Felony)

· Maintaining a common nuisance (Felony)

· Resisting law enforcement (Misdemeanor)

Shanelle M. Pearson:

· Possession of cocaine or narcotic drug (Felony)

· Possession of a controlled substance (Misdemeanor)

· Possession of marijuana (Misdemeanor)

· Visiting a common nuisance (Misdemeanor)

Elizabeth Long: 

· Possession of cocaine (Felony)

· Visiting a common nuisance (Misdemeanor)

Jacob Meekin:

· Warrant - Possession of a controlled substance

· Visiting a common nuisance (Misdemeanor)

Four other adults and the three 17-year-olds face misdemeanor charges of visiting a common nuisance. One juvenile was also charged with possession of marijuana.
