Fort Wayne Police responded to a stabbing at 9:21 p.m. Saturday in the 2200 block of Fairfield Avenue, where officers found the victim bleeding heavily from his left forearm, according to a police report.

The victim told police his girlfriend, Julianne Johnston, allegedly stabbed him after they had been fighting all day about her drinking Vodka. Johnston allegedly went to the kitchen to get a knife, stabbed the victim and then returned to the kitchen to wash off the knife. Johnston then apologized to the victim and told him to "put a bandage on it," the report said.

Paramedics transported the victim to the hospital in fair condition. Police found the kitchen knife, which still had some blood on it, and collected it for evidence.

Johnston was arrested, but slipped out of her handcuffs, so another officer handcuffed her more tightly to prevent escape.
