A Fort Wayne man was sentenced for taking electronics from a woman's home last November.
Terrance J. White, 27, of the 2000 block of Pauline Street, was sentenced Tuesday in Allen Superior Court to serve six months of a 2 1/2-year sentence as well as serve two years on probation for theft with a prior conviction.
White pleaded guilty April 24 to the lesser count. He had faced a burglary charge, but that was dismissed Tuesday in court.
White admitted he manipulated a window air conditioner to gain access to a home at approximately 10 a.m. Nov. 16 and took two large flat-screen TVs, a Blu-ray player and an Xbox One gaming system with accessories. Police dusted for fingerprints, which matched White, the probable-cause affidavit said.
White was ordered to pay the victim restitution in the amount of $,324.95. He also was ordered to obtain his GED and he is to have no contact with the victim.
He has 16 days' jail credit.
