A Fort Wayne man faces robbery and two other charges for allegedly shooting a fast-food restaurant employee July 25 while trying to rob her outside of the restaurant after it closed for the night.

Christopher D. Moore, 25, of the 8600 block of Chesterfield Run, also was charged Wednesday in Allen Superior Court with aggravated battery and criminal recklessness for the incident.

The robbery allegedly took place about 1:15 a.m. as employees left for the night at the Burger King restaurant at 324 E. Jefferson Blvd., a probable cause affidavit filed in the case said.

A man wearing dark clothing reportedly ran up to a woman who had gotten into her car and yelled, "Give me the money!" the affidavit said. The man then shot the woman in the arm and face.

The victim reportedly suffered injury to her eye socket, nasal passage and cheek, and now reportedly is partially blind in her left eye, the affidavit said.

Fort Wayne Police checked security video and saw the attacker had been dragged by the victim's car as she sped away to escape, so they believed the suspect would have significant scrapes on his body, the affidavit said.

Police later received a tip that Moore allegedly had told people at a party that he committed the robbery and reportedly was showing people the scrapes on his buttocks, the affidavit said.

Police also interviewed one of Moore's friends, who reportedly said he told her he shot the victim, the affidavit said. She also saw he had bandages on his hands and had cuts and scrapes on his hands, arms, back and buttocks.

U.S. Marshals arrested Moore Aug. 29 in Chicago, the affidavit said. When he was booked into jail there, he reportedly had scars that still were healing on his right hand and the right side of his face.
