A Logansport man received a hefty sentence for the production of child pornography, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Johnny Clay Amos, 52, was sentenced to 275 months — nearly 23 years — in prison followed by 10 years of supervised release, or probation.
Between July 2014 and January 2016, Amos paid individuals in the Philippines to provide minor children to perform sex shows via live-streaming webacam. Amos made more than 100 money transfers to the Philippines and on at least 10 separate occasions induced young females to engage in sexually explicit conduct over the internet.
On March 18, 2016 a search warrant was executed at his residence, where more than 800 videos and images of child pornography were found.
