The Kendallville Police responded to reports of three separate stolen vehicles that occurred over night Sunday. All three vehicles were left unlocked with the keys inside them, according to a police report.

Two vehicles had not been recovered — a light green 2006 Mazda CX5 from the 500 block of North State Street and a silver 2004 Honda Accord from the 700 block of Richmond Street. A third vehicle, a gold 2006 Chevrolet HHR, taken from the 600 block of East Wayne Street, was recovered in Kendallville, the report said.

Police also report numerous vehicles were broken into and items taken from some of them because they were left unlocked. Police caution residents to lockand not leave keys in their vehicles.
