Christopher Menominee, 34, of the 2200 block of Brooklyn Avenue, was charged Friday in Allen Superior Court with two counts of child molesting for allegedly molesting an 11-year-old girl he knew.

The incident allegedly took place between Feb. 18-20, and was discovered by a friend of the victim, a probable cause affidavit filed in the case said.

The friend told police she was staying overnight at the victim's house and had gotten up early in the morning to go to the bathroom, the affidavit said. When she returned to where she was sleeping, she allegedly saw Menominee kneeling beside the bed and molesting the victim. The friend couldn't tell if the victim was awake or asleep, the affidavit said.

Menominee reportedly asked the visiting friend not to tell anyone about what he had done, the affidavit said.
