Joseph A. Michael, 19, of the 500 block of Royalton Drive, New Haven, pleaded guilty Tuesday in Allen Superior Court to fraud, a Level 6 felony, for taking his girlfriend's bank card and making withdrawals Feb. 24 from ATMs at three gas stations.

In exchange for Michael's guilty plea, two fraud counts will be dismissed against Michael at sentencing on Jan. 31 before Allen Superior Court Judge John Surbeck.

Michael admitted he took his girlfriend's bank card and made a $200 withdrawal Feb. 24 from the ATM at Ricker's. Michael's girlfriend told police she let Michael borrow her car, which contained her purse and her bank card, but she did not give permission to Michael to take money from her account.
