Investigators with the Defiance Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol blame drugs and speed for a single-vehicle injury crash that occurred Wednesday evening 4 miles west of the city of Bryan.

At around 7:17 p.m. a 1999 Honda Civic being driven by James Aaron Harrington, 26, of Martin, Mich., was northbound on County Road 10, 0.2 mile south of County Road G. The vehicle traveled off the left side of the road and struck a pole, according to a news release. Harrington was flown to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne by Samaritan Flight. Harrington wasn't using a seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to the news release.
Assisting at the scene were the Williams County Sheriff's Office, Bryan City Fire Department, and Williams County EMS.
