For the third year in a row, North Side High School will hold a Hall of Fame induction in August, adding 10 former athletes and coaches to the growing group of honorees.
Former Athletic Director and football coach Richard Duane Brown will lead the class of inductees. Others in the group are Duane Rowe (former track and cross country coach), Dawn Frisinger Todor (Class of 1992), Jan Powers Laguardia (1977), Alan McGee (1975), Jack Hallenbeck (1960), Ronald Bowman (1957), Froncie Gutman (1952), Don Bruick (1940) and Ross Leakey (1939).
On Aug. 18, North Side will honor the former Redskin greats as they will be introduced at the football game against Snider. The next morning the North Side High School Alumni Association will hold a breakfast in honor of the new honorees as well as previous inductees and guests.
Following the breakfast, the Hall of Fame class of 2017 will be formally inducted in the school auditorium. Anyone wishing to attend the breakfast and ceremony can contact the Alumni Association office at 260-471-4499 or e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. Cost for the breakfast is $15.
