One of the most electrifying prep football players in northeast Indiana is headed to the Volunteer State.
Bishop Luers senior Dashon Bussell announced over the weekend that he is moving to Tennessee with family. He will attend Knoxville Catholic High School.
"I'm gonna miss playing on Fridays with the Knights," said Bussell in a tweet. "Also wanna thank AWP Sports for directing me in a positive way and always (being) there to help me and for the best training in the country."
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Bussell is a versatile athlete who played wide receiver and defensive back for Bishop Luers. He is also a skilled return man, scoring a pair of touchdowns on kickoffs for the Knights last season.
As a receiver, Bussell amassed 35 receptions for 610 yards and five touchdowns in 2016.
Bussell — who is returning home to Tennessee after moving to Fort Wayne when he was younger — is a three-star recruit according to 247sports.com and holds scholarship offers from eight schools, including Iowa, Ball State and Western Michigan.
