All-NECC girls basketball team named

The All-Northeast Corner Conference teams for the 2016-2017 season have been announced. Regional champion Central Noble headlines the first team with Sydney Freeman and Meleah Leatherman. Angola, Eastside, West Noble and Garrett also placed two players each on the first team. Those players are Angola's Ali Cranston and Ally Lorntz, Eastside's Lindsey Beard and Maddisyn Heffley, West Noble's Kaylie Warble and Lauren Burns and Garrett's Megan Newby and Drue Bodey. Other members of the first team are: Stacia Fester (Churubusco), Erica Zook (Fairfield), Emma Gaff (Hamilton), Shleby Fish (Prairie Heights) and Ashya Klopfenstein (Westview).

All-NECC Honorable Mention went to: Sydney Boyd and Anna Fuller (Angola), Calista Rice (Central Noble), Felicity Bontrager (Fairfield), Lexi Lyon (Fremont), Jaden Conrad (Lakeland), Alexis German (Prairie Heights), Madison Schermerhorn (West Noble) and Reagan Sharick (Westview).
