Sources have confirmed to The News-Sentinel that former Bishop Luers quarterback Noah Wezensky has transferred from Miami of Ohio to HanoverCollege in Indiana.
Wezensky saw action in two games with the Redhawks in 2016, his true freshman season.
The 6-foot-2 signalcaller made his collegiate debut on Oct. 1 when he played the second half against Ohio, throwing for 154 yards and a touchdown. One week later, he made his first career start in a 35-13 loss at Akron, completing 14-of-28 passes for 153 yards, a touchdown and a pair of interceptions.
The Redhawks finished the 2016 season with a 6-7 record that concluded with a one-point loss to MississippiState in the St. Petersburg Bowl.
HanoverCollege competes in Division III athletics as part of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
Hanover football went 4-6 overall last season under the direction of Coach Matthew Theobald, who confirmed Wednesday that Wezensky is enrolled in classes at Hanover and is expected to play for the Panthers this fall.
Wezensky threw for 5,149 yards and 46 touchdowns in his prep career at Bishop Luers.
