Indiana Tech rode a first half run to pull away from Lawrence Tech and ultimately win 86-66 in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference men’s basketball action at the Schaefer Center.

The Warriors (12-5, 7-2 WHAC) led just 14-13 at one point in the opening half, but Franklin Lindsey sank a pair of 3-pointers to stretch the lead to eight and Indiana Tech was never threatened again.

Guard Miles Robinson scored a game-high 22 points, while Lindsey chipped in 20 points and a game-best nine rebounds. Lindsey sank four of seven 3-pointers, while Warrior center Scott Schwieterman added 19 points and guard Tanner Watkins finished with 11.

Schwieterman scored eight straight in the opening half to give Indiana Tech a 42-30 halftime lead, but it was Lindsey’s shooting in the second half that sealed the victory.

Lindsey sank seven of eight shots in the final 20 minutes.

The Warriors tore off on a 24-5 run at one point in winning their fourth straight WHAC game.

Indiana tech led the Blue Devils (2-13, 1-8) by as many as 23 in the second half.

Indiana Tech will host No. 25-ranked Northwestern Ohio Saturday at 3 p.m.
