Thursday, August 28, 2014 12:01 am
Last week: 6-4Overall: 6-4

North Side over Delta – Only chance Eagles have is due to them being coached by a Yorktown grad (Grant Zgunda).

Bishop Dwenger over Concordia Lutheran – Cadets surprise me in opener, but not vs. realy good Saints team.

Bishop Luers over Northrop – Kyle Lindsay's kids are rolling once again.

Wayne over Kokomo – Generals own the North Central Conference.

Bluffton over Manchester – No way a Randy Hudgins' coached team loses to a Wabash County football program.

Eastside over Adams Central – Blazers let me down with spanking by Woodlan. They'll redeem themselves this week.

Norwell over Heritage – With or without “RH2,” Knights showed their ability with win at Leo.

East Noble over Warsaw – New-look Tigers (at least offensively) slow to get off the ground this season.

Garrett over DeKalb – Hey, hey the Barons won last week! Remember that feeling because it won't happen this week.

Churubusco over Lewis Cass – What? You want me to pick against the Eagles again and look stupid?Last week: 6-4

Overall: 6-4

Delta over North Side – Eagles are always good, 'Skins need to shore up problem areas.

Bishop Dwenger over Concordia Lutheran – Saints fundamentally sound in week one, have more firepower.

Bishop Luers over Northrop – Knights are back! Northrop must hang on to football.

Wayne over Kokomo – Generals beat Wildkats by 26 last year & are much improved.

Manchester over Bluffton – Tigers will have to put distractions behind them.

Eastside over Adams Central – Both teams will look to improve defense from week one.

Norwell over Heritage – How healthy are the Knights? Banking that they will be OK by Friday.

East Noble over Warsaw – Knights will not overlook Tigers before Homestead next week.

Garrett over DeKalb – Barons have improved enough, could make it a game.

Lewis Cass over Churubusco – Nod goes to home team in what should be a tight contest.Last week: 6-4

Overall: 6-4

Delta over North Side - Redskins defense shaky, but young.

Bishop Dwenger over Concordia Lutheran - Saints to rule Zollner once again.

Bishop Luers over Northrop - Knights get first regular season win since 2012.

Wayne over Kokomo - Another NCC team experiences the Generals' wrath.

Manchester over Bluffton - Tough to pick the Tigers on the road this week.

Adams Central over Eastside - 0-1 a rarity for Flying Jets, 0-2 even more so.

Norwell over Heritage - Can Knights overcome injuries? This one will be close.

East Noble over Warsaw - Kendallville going pork free in honor of The Pig.

Garrett over DeKalb - Barons are proving, but not enough yet to compete with Railroaders.

Lewis Cass over Churubusco - Learning experience for Eagles on the road.Last week: 6-4

Overall: 6-4

Delta over North Side – The Eagles fly high for a second straight week.

Bishop Dwenger over Concordia Lutheran – The Saints proved in week one they're ready for another long postseason run.

Bishop Luers over Northrop – The Knights may have lost their opener, but Bishop Luers is back.

Wayne over Kokomo – The Generals are explosive and hungry.

Manchester over Bluffton – Win number one of the Randy Hudgins era will have to wait another week.

Adams Central over Eastside – Call it a coin toss, but the Flying Jets win at home.

Norwell over Heritage – The Knights managed to grind it out week one, this one will be a little easier.

East Noble over Warsaw – That thumping of Northrop in the opener was no fluke for East Noble.

Garrett over DeKalb – Are the Barons for real? Maybe, but not this week.

Churubusco over Lewis Cass – Different year, different roster, same Churubusco.
