•Steeplechase at Parkview, Fort Wayne, an investor in Greater Fort Wayne Inc., recently celebrated a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the construction of its new apartment community at 11275 Sportsman Park Lane. Apartments range from 749 square feet to 1,366 square feet. Amenities will include a canine commons, pool with grilling and pool house, 24 hours stand-up tanning booth, 24-hour health club, conference center with WiFi, three relaxing ponds and more.•Asher Agency, Fort Wayne, has acquired The Arnold Agency, a marketing communications firm founded 25 years ago with offices in Charleston, W. Va., and Washington, D.C.

•Fernwood/Dalevue neighborhood, Fort Wayne, recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for a flood protection project to protect the area in the future.

•Lomont Holdings, d/b/a Illuminated Image, Angola, a wholesale supplier for retail sign companies, has announced plans to expand its operations creating up to 20 new jobs by 2017.

•Byron Health Center, Fort Wayne, has achieved an overall 4-Star community rating as determined by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

•Strebig Construction, Fort Wayne, has negotiated a contract with Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins for the interior and exterior renovations. Work has begun and is expected to be completed in June.

•DOT America, Columbia City will be creating up to 20 new high-wage jobs by 2016. The Rostock, Germany, based orthopedics company is investing approximately $4.5 million to lease, renovate and equip a 17,520 square foot facility. This will be the fist location outside of Germany.

•Lake City Bank, Warsaw, was included in the KBW Bank Honor Roll published by Keefe Bruyette and Woods. Lake City Bank is one of 31 banking institutions with a ten-year record that met KBW's criteria for inclusion in he 2013 Bank Honor Roll; the bank is also one of 27 members returning to the list.

•The city of Fort Wayne and Aqua Indiana have reached a final agreement for the city to purchase Aqua's water utility in southwest Fort Wayne and resolve the dispute over the purchase price of Aqua's former north system.

•Precision Plastics, Columbia City, a custom plastic-injection molder plans to expand its operation, creating up to 15 new jobs by 2017.

The company currently employs approximately 120 full time Indiana associates and plans to begin hiring for manufacturing positions in August. Interested applicants may apply at Peoplelink Staffing Solutions, Columbia City.

•LABOV Marketing Communications and Training, Fort Wayne, recently worked with Steel Dynamics to produce the company's 2013 annual report.

•Vorderman Volkswagen, Fort Wayne, has received the coveted 2013 Customer First Club Award for its customer service.

•PHD Inc., Huntington, a supplier of automation components for manufacturer's worldwide plans to expand its operations creating up to 22 new jobs by 2017. The company currently employs about 285 full-time Indiana associates, including 105 in Huntington, and plans to begin hiring CNC machinists and programmers.
