Owner Scott Wise says the building will be remodeled to give it a Scotty's look, with garage doors opening up onto a patio with an awning. The new Scotty's also will have a private dining area that can be rented out. He hopes to open the new restaurant this September.

.Looks like a new steakhouse is planning to build in Fort Wayne.
LongHorn Steakhouse is planning to build a 6,200-square-foot steakhouse at 5050 Value Drive. That's over by the new Costco off Lima Road. This information comes from a legal notice published recently in the paper regarding storm water drainage.
LongHorn is part of the Darden group of restaurants, which also includes Olive Garden, Red Lobster and others. It's described on the Darden website as having a “relaxing atmosphere reminiscent of a Western rancher's home.” LongHorn serves steaks, chicken and fish that are fresh, never frozen according to their website. A spokeswoman from Darden said via email, “We are currently pursuing permits for a location in Fort Wayne and that's all the information I can share at this time.”While folks are in town for the annual Vera Bradley outlet sale, they can tour another home-grown business that has been successful internationally.
DeBrand Fine Chocolates is opening its doors for extended open tours again this year in conjunction with the outlet sale. Tours will take place at the Auburn Road location, 10105 Auburn Park Drive.
