Identity released of New Haven man killed after being pinned under truck

The New Haven Police Department on Friday confirmed the death of a person who was pinned under the back wheels of a large truck.The incident took place around the 7500 block of Lincoln Highway East, about 400 yards off the road. The police department and Adams Township Fire Department responded to the scene and reported finding a man pinned underneath the vehicle around 8:59 a.m.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The Allen County Coroner's Office on Friday afternoon identified the man as Todd Fritcha, 50, of New Haven. The cause of death was ruled to be blunt force trauma, with the manner of death an accident.

The incident remains under investigation.
