INDIANAPOLIS — More than 250 police agencies across Indiana will crack down on drunk and dangerous driving beginning Friday.
Operation Pull over will run through March 23.
State police say they'll be one of the agencies initiating a major effort to use heavy patrols and sobriety checkpoints to watch out for drivers who have been drinking or otherwise posing danger to fellow motorists.
During the same time period in 2013, a total of 388 crashes where alcohol or illegal drugs were considered a contributing factor occurred on Indiana highways. Those accidents resulted in 158 persons injured and four crashes in which a total of four people died.
