The death of a months-old infant who was pronounced dead at a local hospital on Wednesday afternoon is not believed to be a result of foul play.

That determination was released Thursday by the Allen County Coroner's Office, which completed the autopsy on Thursday morning.

The infant, two months old, was transported by ambulance from a residence in the 2800 block of Windrush Drive. The child's name will not be released, and though foul play is not suspected, the incident remains under investigation by the coroner's office and the Allen County Prosecutor's Office.
