WPTA-TV, Channel 21, is being acquired by Quincy (Ill.) Newspapers from Malara Broadcasting Corp. At the same time, WISE-TV, Channel 33, is being sold by Granite Broadcasting Corporation to SagamoreHill Broadcasting. The acquisitions are subject to federal regulatory approval and expected to close later this year.

WPTA, owned by Quincy, will operate WISE, owned by SagamoreHill of Indiana, under a shared services agreement. The stations currently operate in a similar fashion.
