The arguments about making the Indiana constitution declare that marriage is only acceptable for one man and one woman seems unfair for our gay friends. No one wants to be left with the feeling that the results were unfair.
If same-sex couples are allowed to be legally united in marriage, will the gay community support polygamy as sanctioned marriage in Indiana? Those people have feelings about wanting to be an accepted part of society. Where do we draw the line as to what forms of matrimony are not to be recognized in Indiana? If the institution of marriage becomes anything for everyone, marriage will mean nothing to anyone. Social chaos will follow.
