Two of the greatest inventions ever made are the automobile and cell phone. Everybody has one (I have neither), but cell phones have made people incredibly rude. It doesn’t matter where you go, people are on the phone. In the car, at the store, at the doctor’s office, restaurant, while they are walking, you name it and somebody is on the phone.
I don’t understand it when someone comes to your home supposedly to visit you, they get on their phone. If someone is at my home and my phone rings, I tell the peron I have company and I will return their call. If my visitor gets a call on their cell phone they answer and carry on a conversation like I’m invisible.
I see more men on cell phones than women! I know my letter will not change the way one person will think or change. It’s become the “normal” way people use cells, either talking or texting, but if one person asks himself, “Is this the way my family and friends see me?” I try not to let it bother me anymore, but I still feel it is very rude behavior.
