•Barnes & Thornburg, Fort Wayne, has received six first-tier rankings in the 2014 U.S. News Media Group (U.S. News) and Best Lawyers annual “Best Law Firm” rankings in the areas of: Metropolitan Tier 1: commercial litigation, employment law-management, labor law-management, litigation-labor and employment, litigation-patent and tax law. Metropolitan Tier 2: bankruptcy and creditor debtor rights/insolvency and reorganization law, litigation-bankruptcy and litigation-intellectual property.•LABOV Marketing Communications and Training, Fort Wayne, announces its annual holiday Go Beyond Give Beyond Campaign. The company will donate “12 Hours of LABOV” to a local nonprofit. Local nonprofits are asked to answer the question, Why should your organization receive the 12 Hours of LABOV? Submit an answer to LABOV at pr@labov.com by 11:50 p.m. Nov. 20. The winner will be announced Dec. 20.

•Beers Mallers Backs & Salin, Fort Wayne, has earned Metropolitan Tier 1 rankings from Best Lawyers of America 2014 “Best Law Firms” for construction and elder law.

•Northeast Indiana Human Resource Association and WorkOne Northeast, Fort Wayne, recently honored more than 80 local companies for their commitment to hiring veterans. At the recognition ceremony held Nov. 4, representatives of BAE Systems and Fort Wayne Metals showcased effective programs for helping veterans transition from active duty to civilian employment.

•Veterans Affairs Northern Indiana Health Care System, Fort Wayne, has been named a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures by the Joint Commission.

•Parkview Health, Fort Wayne, had three hospitals be awarded the recognition of Top Performer on Key Quality Measures by The Joint Commission. The hospitals, Parkview Huntington Hospital; Parkview Noble Hospital and Parkview Ortho Hospital will be recognized in the “Improving America's Hospital's annual report.

•Eilbacher Fletcher, Fort Wayne, was recently selected by its peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America for 2014. It received Metropolitan Tier 1 for practice areas of commercial litigation and employment law-management. The company earned Tier 1 in the practice area of commercial litigation and litigation-eminent domain and condemnation for last year's program as well.

•Price Waicukauski & Riley, Indianapolis, has received a Tier 1 ranking in the 2014 edition of The U.S. News-Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms.” While the firm's office is in Indianapolis, it focuses on representing plaintiffs in complex cases throughout Indiana and nationwide.

•First Bank of Berne has selected BarkleyBuilders, Ossian, as the general contractor for a 2,140-square- foot expansion at 1105 N. US 27, Berne. The expansion will house First Bank of Berne loan officers and other staff.

•Solstice Medical, Columbia City, announces that Indiana University Health is expanding the rollout of its OR1 Surgical Inventory Management solution and the Dock-to-Doc enterprise SSC platform statewide throughout its health system.

•Whitley County Economic Development Corp. recently hosted an open house to celebrate the opening of the EDC Outpost, a co-working space at 114 N. Chauncey St., Columbia City.

•North River Capital, Fort Wayne, has sold its portfolio company, Arctic Fox, in a transaction with Phillips & Temro Industries, a portfolio company of Audax Group.

•Lincoln Financial Group's individual annuity customer contact center has earned the designation of “Certified Center of Excellence” from BenchmarkPortal, a national benchmaking firm.

•MKM architecture + design, Fort Wayne, has been named Indiana's Distinguished Firm of the Year by the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
