JEFFERSONVILLE — A southern Indiana teenager is gaining valuable business experience as he launches a tablet carrier that he hopes will catch on with students.Ben Shahroudi tells the News and Tribune that his Pad Pouch invention will give students a new way to carry their iPads and express their individuality.

He's gone through five prototypes and expects his first shipment of the finished product to arrive in early December. The Pad Pouch will sell for $50 on Shahroudi's Kickstarter site with any donation and for $54.95 on Amazon.

Shahroudi's father, David, says going from start to finish with a product has helped his son gain experience that should jump start his business studies before he heads to college next year.
