Leonard Goldstein’s column of Oct. 15 completely misinterpreted what my column was expressing. I proved the point then and previously that we were founded as a Christian nation. There is ample historical evidence to prove that. The fact we were founded on Christian principles is the reason people of other faiths have been afforded asylum in this country. There is no other nation on Earth that treats other people, regardless of their ethnic or religious backgrounds, as well as they are treated here. That benevolent treatment is because of our Christian heritage.

Try exercising your Christian faith in a Muslim country and see where it gets you.

Goldstein made the claim in his column this is not a Christian nation. Perhaps now it is not, because it is quite obvious that we are throwing off the principles and the values that made us great. That does not change the fact we were founded as a Christian nation.

Goldstein should thank God we were founded as a Christian nation because that is the very reason he has the freedoms he does.

In my column I said nothing to disparage those of any other faith. I merely related facts from our history to show that the war on Christianity would not have been approved by our founders.

The main gist of my column was that the Christian faith on which we were founded is under a full frontal assault by ACLU, also known as the Anti-Christian Litigation Union, Freedom from Religion Foundation, and the courts.

Islam is being treated with more respect and deference than Christianity.
