MANCHESTER UNIVERSITY, Cordier Auditorium, North Manchester, will have Eboo Patel speak about religious pluralism at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. Free admission.

NEW HAVEN UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 630 Lincoln Highway E., New Haven, will hold the GriefShare support group at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays, through Oct. 29. Information: Margie Williams at 749-9907 or the church at 749-9565. The annual community Thanksgiving dinner is 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 28.

PIERCETON PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 309 S. First St., Pierceton, will hold its annual harvest home dinner 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and 4:30-7 p.m. Oct. 12. Cost is $8 for adults, $5 for seniors and $4 for children.

RESTORATION CENTER CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST, 5522 McClellan St., will hold its Founders Day celebration at 3 p.m. Saturday with guest Pastor Ron Pulliam of Indianapolis and at 5 p.m. Sunday with guest Pastor Scott Jefferson of Gary.

ST. JOSEPH HESSEN CASSEL CHURCH, 11337 U.S. 27 S., will have a fall festival Saturday. Games and activities during the day, and Junk Yard Band will play 8-11 p.m.

ST. MICHAEL'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 100 Antwerp Drive, Hicksville, Ohio, will hold Octoberfest 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday.

TRINITY ENGLISH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 405 W. Wayne St., will have Chanticleer perform in concert at 7 p.m. Oct. 11; $20 adults, $10 students. 426-3424. A Blessing of the Animals takes place at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 12 in the parking lot; pets should be on a leash or in carriers. Photos of aggressive animals may be brought for a blessing.

UNIVERSITY OF SAINT FRANCIS, 2701 Spring St., will celebrate the feast of Francis of Assisi with these events: Mass in honor of Saint Francis' birth into heaven at 12:05 p.m. today in the chapel; and a blessing of the pets at 6 p.m. Sunday in front of Brookside near the Saint Francis statue.
