New Haven proves it is 'top 'Dawgs' right now

Saturday, September 14, 2013 - 1:54 am

NEW HAVEN (4-0) — Bulldogs punish a good Carroll defense in epic NHC battle.

HOMESTEAD (4-0) — Sparty continues to play strong defensively in win over Columbia City.

BISHOP DWENGER (4-0) — Saints annihilate Northrop when most thought upset was possible.

SNIDER (3-1) — Don’t want to overreact to a pounding at Penn. But Panthers have work to do.

CARROLL (3-1) — New Haven is good, but Chargers need to play better defensively.

LEO (4-0) — Lions on way to perfect regular season without hardly breaking a sweat.

EAST NOBLE (3-1) — Knights have to knock off Carroll in Kendallville to stay in NHC race.

NORTH SIDE (2-2) — Redskins test themselves again outside of SAC next week at MIshawaka.

CHURUBUSCO (4-0) — Poll question: Which team overwhelms its schedule more ’Busco or Leo?

COLUMBIA CITY (2-2) — Another league loss and Eagles are toast for an NHC title.

CONCORDIA LUTHERAN (2-2) — Nice victory over South Side for this program. Taking steps.

GARRETT (3-1) — Remember that blowout loss at Eastside? Neither does The Pig.

HERITAGE (3-1) — Remember that blowout loss at New Haven? Neither does The Pig.

SOUTH SIDE (1-3) — Too much athleticism not to score more than once on Concordia Lutheran.

WAYNE (2-2) — Generals have opportunity for rare SAC win next week vs. Bishop Luers.

NORTHROP (1-3) — Huge step in wrong direction for Bruin program on Friday.

BISHOP LUERS (0-4) — History in the making on the south side this fall.

BELLMONT (2-2) — Runnin’ Braves won’t next week vs. Sparty.

SOUTH ADAMS (2-2) — Battled a good Heritage squad very well on Friday.

ADAMS CENTRAL (2-2) — Young QB has Flying Jets playing well (even in a tough loss).

WOODLAN (2-2) — Very challenging game looms at Prairie Heights.

BLUFFTON (2-2) — Really Tigers? 56-0 against Woodlan? Really?

NORWELL (0-4) — Knights scored 28 against Bellmont. It’s called a "half-full" approach.

DeKALB (0-4) — Barons have 6 more games left. It’s called a "realistic" approach.
