The Free to Breathe 5K Run/Walk and 1-Mile Memory Walk is set for this Sunday at Shoaff Park.

The event, established by Kristen Robertson in honor of her mother, raises money to support the National Lung Cancer Partnership programs dedicated to doubling lung-cancer survival by 2022. More than $18,000 was raised with the event in Fort Wayne last year.

Registration for this year's race begins at 1 p.m. Sunday, with the opening rally at 2 p.m. and the 5K at 2:30 p.m. Online pre-race registration at www.freetobreathe.org ends today, but runners may register the day of the event for $30.
