Some shifting among elite squads

Saturday, August 31, 2013 12:35 am
CARROLL (2-0) — Chargers did what they were supposed to do, which was pound Huntington North. 2 SNIDER (2-0) — Panthers looked very impressive in SAC beatdown of athletic South Side.

EAST NOBLE (2-0) — Are Knights for real this season? We'll find out next week for sure.

HOMESTEAD (2-0) — Haven't been this jacked for a Sparty-Knight battle since the days of Terrell vs Dove.

NEW HAVEN (2-0) — Bulldogs play DeKalb next week. Baron fans, let us pray...

BISHOP DWENGER (2-0) — Revenge Bowl III next week at North Side. Be there Fort Wayne football fans!

LEO (2-0) — Lions play Adams Central next week. Seriously?

NORTH SIDE (1-1) — Had my face painted red to cheer on 'Skins vs. Delta, but it didn't help in close loss.

WAYNE (2-0) — Who would've thought that the hype for Generals vs. Cadets this week could be so high?

CHURUBUSCO (2-0) — Biding time until the Eastside game in two weeks. That'll be a good one.

WOODLAN (1-1) — Don't worry Warrior fans, a lot of teams will get smoked by New Haven this year.

NORTHROP (1-1) — Bruins shouldn't let Friday's upset of Bishop Luers be highlight of year.

SOUTH SIDE (0-2) — Archers need to play with intelligence, discipline vs. Luers. Or it'll be 0-3.

BISHOP LUERS (0-2) — Kyle Lindsay's growing pains continue, but he'll persevere.

COLUMBIA CITY (1-1) — Team, school, community rally together for easy win over Whitko.

CONCORDIA LUTHERAN (0-2) — Cadets have HUGE game vs. Wayne next week. It's winnable.

ADAMS CENTRAL (2-0) — "Let's win this for all of the small schools that never got the chance."

BLUFFTON (2-0) — Tigers are officially the Wabash County champions now. Congrats, I think.

BELLMONT (1-1) — Defense will be the key vs. Columbia City next week. Play it and Braves can win.

HERITAGE (1-1) — Patriots have the possibility of stringing together consecutive victories.

SOUTH ADAMS (1-1) — Very competitive game looms with Bluffton next week. It'll be a good one.

GARRETT (1-1) — Railroaders bounce back with shutout win. Though it was vs. DeKalb.

NORWELL (0-2) — Knights.... what really is there to say about another defeat? Carroll's next.

DeKALB (0-2) — When does basketball season start?
