New book club
Muslim Journeys Book Club focuses on reading and discussions related to the Muslim culture and meets 6-8 p.m. Friday and 6-8 p.m. Oct. 4 at IPFW, Helmke Library, 2101 Coliseum Blvd. E. “Prince Among Slaves” by Terry Alford is the book featured in September, and “The Columbia Sourcebook of Muslims in the United States,” edited by Edward E. High school home-schoolers will meet at 10 a.m. Sept. 13 to discuss a book of the month at the Allen County Public Library, 900 Library Plaza. This month's book is “Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions” by Edwin Abbott.
Bookflix is for ages 6-14 who like to read and watch movies and meets at 4 p.m. Sept. 9 and 23 at Tecumseh branch library, 1411 E. State Blvd.
