Labor Day traveler numbers and gas costs rise

AAA Chicago estimates that 34.5 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more from home this Labor Day weekend.That's a 0.9 percent increase from 2004.

In Indiana, a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline costs $3.698 per gallon compared with to $3.977 per gallon during last year's Labor Day holiday weekend.

In Fort Wayne, AAA reported Friday morning that gas prices were at $3.752 a gallon. Last year on this date a gallon cost $3.871.
