A Fort Wayne man wanted by the FBI in connection with an Ossian bank robbery in May was arrested Tuesday in Michigan.
Dontae Travier, 29, was taken into custody by the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team, according to a news release from W. David Crawford, II, supervisory senior resident agent with the FBI.
Earlier in the day, the FBI had announced a reward of up to $3,000 for information that led to the arrest of Travier, also known as Dontae Deshawn Williams-Travier, whose aliases include “Touchey,” “Touchey-G,” “Kid” and “Tay.”
Travier is charged in a federal criminal complaint issued in the Northern District of Indiana with robbing the PNC Bank in Ossian on May 29. At 2:42 p.m. that day three men robbed the bank at 1102 N. Jefferson St.
Travier has been known to record and perform in rap music videos and the FBI had information that he was likely in Michigan. The agency announced he was considered armed and dangerous.
