Not all pigs at the Allen County Fair have pristine hides and pose for the judges. The pigs in the arena Wednesday evening were coated in caked-on mud and had just one mission: not get caught. As part of the Team Pig Wrestling Contest, 31 teams of four attempted to catch a fenced-in swine in less than 45 seconds, all while trying to not slip in the muddy arena.

The pigs ranged from about 4 to 7 months old and weighed between 100 and 290 pounds.

This is the first time pig wrestling has appeared on the fair schedule.
