Watermelons are hard enough to carry on their own, let alone when covered in grease. Dozens of youth Tuesday afternoon attempted to not only carry greased watermelons, but climb over hay barrels and squeeze through tunnels in a timed Greased Watermelon Contest at the Allen County Fair.

The fair runs through Sunday at the Allen County Fair Grounds, 2726 Carroll Road.
