To celebrate National Chicken Wing Day, Quaker Steak & Lube will offer free wings Monday. For a voucher (valid Monday only) for six free wings, donate a nonperishable food item to the Community Harvest Food Bank by Monday.Fort Wayne Lube, 407 W. Coliseum Blvd., will offer six wings for $3, 10 wings for $5 and compact buckets of breaded boneless wings for $10.

Patrons who come in Monday will also receive a $2 off coupon for All-You-Can-Eat Wing Night. For more information, visit https://www.facebook.com/QSLFortWayne.Vanilla Bean Unique Cookies, 3410 N. Anthony Blvd., is participating in the Specialty Food Association's My Story My Ad Contest.

The association encourages food entrepreneurs to share personal stories. If the business wins, it will receive a part in a free national ad campaign and a three-day trip to San Francisco.

Voting has now concluded for the local gourmet cookie business, which has been in operation in Fort Wayne since July 2010. Top 10 entries will be selected based off vote totals, after which Specialty Food Media staff will choose one winner Aug. 2, based on originality and creativity.
