"Doctors report that the surgeries went well and will be placing her back in ICU for close observation tonight. Depending on how well she does, Sidney could be on her way to the rehab hospital in Indianapolis in 3 to 4 days," the statement said.
Sidney Good and a friend, 17-year-old Alexis Fairchild of Huntington, both suffered injuries July 1 after a rope tethering them to a boat snapped and strong winds slammed them into a condominium building, a power line and a parked car at Panama City Beach.
Fairchild suffered broken bones in the upper part of her spine, a skull fracture and a brain injury. She was moved to an Indianapolis rehabilitation hospital last week. Sidney Good returned to Indiana Sunday.
Eric Good said "we would like to thank everyone for all of the support and prayers during this tough time in our lives."
"We have been talking with Sidney the past few days and she is aware of all of the support and prayers from around the world for her and Alexis. She is humbled by the attention and said, it is amazing," he said.
