Get ready for the Allen County Fair

The queen pageant is Sunday, and the fair opens Tuesday.

The Allen County Fair begins with a queen pageant Sunday at Carroll High School and a full schedule of activities beginning Tuesday at the Allen County Fairgrounds, 2726 Carroll Road.Admission is $5, adults, and free, ages 5 and younger. Parking is free.

Here is the schedule:Miss Allen County Queen Pageant, 6 p.m., Carroll High School, 3701 Carroll Road. $5 admission, ages 5 and younger free.7 a.m.-11 a.m.: 4-H llama entry at barns

10 a.m.-9:30 p.m.: Open class exhibits open, Home and Family Arts building

10 a.m.-10 p.m.: 4-H exhibits open, Education Building

10 a.m.-10 p.m.: 4-H silent auction, Education Building

11 a.m.: 4-H horse, English classes, Horse Arena

11 a.m.: 4-H rabbit show, Show Barn

2-3 p.m.: Water relays, Waterball Court

4 p.m.: Zumba class, Free Activity Stage

5 p.m.: Max burn class, Free Activity Stage

5 p.m.: 4-H commercial poultry show, Poultry Barn

5-7 p.m.: Goat cart rides, Waterball Court

5-10 p.m.: Carnival rides and games. (fee; wristbands, $15)

5-10 p.m.: Mechanical bull, fair grounds (fee)

5-10 p.m.: Monster truck rides, fair grounds (fee)

6 p.m.: Zumba class, Free Activity Stage

8-10 p.m.: K105 karaoke contest, Free Activity Stage(Ages 55 and older, $3 admission)
